Kiss
A kiss is just a kiss, so they say
But they don’t lay at night
Alone in the dark while the memories Replay
Like a million knives on my lips
And each one chips away
At what is left of this grey shell
That I used to call my heart
They rip apart the Galaxy
That once held together my sanity
And I'm losing the battle
Our chateau was built on sand
The waves came crashing down
And the only thing that could withstand
Is my heart
As I lay in the dark
Thinking of the taste of your mouth
While it breaks
And bleeds
And pleads for peace
So is a kiss really a kiss?
Or is it an endless abyss
Of wanting and wishing for a love
That used to exist?
