To you

I listen with the heart
As you sing to me at night
I am in awe of how you speak
You say you love my mind
And it is I who loves yours
You are bold and sweet
A regular Romeo at my door
I tell you of imperfections
And you say I am beautiful
You are there for me like no other
As I hear the words of praise
I think could this be any more like a perfect confection?
Of a love that is in balance with time?
You are flawless in your rhymes and singing
You leave me wanting more yet I know it’s greedy
I am happy to have you in my world.
