Analysis of I am a Woman

I want to say something
I want to say something,
But I get afraid,
Afraid of the ways,
You will respond once I say.

Please let me speak,
Let me speak and let me say,
Before I die, and am buried in my grave.

I want to say something,
Please hear my voice,
Let me participate, and be part of a choice.

I haven't said anything,
But I am done,
I deserve to be a part of something,
Something interesting and fun.

You won’t let me speak,
So I will cry out,
I am a woman, and I will speak out.
