Analysis of When Sun Spreads Down

When sun spreads down its threads
and streams secure through summer air,
it seems a spider silk so lightly treads.
Just so they fare,

so slow and soft they sink
to slide and sway in slightest breeze,
these silent streamers of a silver sky, these
threads. To think

a scene of such intensity, such violence,
sends us such serenity, such silence,

and such gauzy gold! That shower
Zeus but once bestowed upon the bower
of some princess, Sun, a prince of greater power,
still bestows upon his princess…“Earth, receive thy dower”
