Analysis of We're Not Alone
Once people carved God out of stone,
life was harsh and their prospects grim.
Yet they felt they were not alone,
though odds of surviving were slim.
Seeking guidance outside of self,
our beliefs are what makes us whole.
Yet often faith's placed on a shelf,
for we don't like to bare our soul.
When conflicting truths fall apart,
arrogance and ignorance thrive.
And if doubts infiltrate your heart,
egos ensure scorn's kept alive.
God's effect is hard to explain,
He's the embodiment of hope.
And His love purges life of pain,
helping imperfect souls to cope.
Religion preaches be pious,
yet faith comes in many forms.
And sometimes preachers have bias,
challenging our accepted norms.
