Analysis of Touchstone
TOUCHSTONE BY Satya pattnaik.
I touched stone
However, I am not a touchstone but
I found something pulsating
After I touched the stone
Since long the stone is abandoned
Amidst cracked land and broken sky above
Counting its distress and
Hours of hang overs
Blank thoughts and mindless dreams
Like a desperate art
Rolling over through out
With a hunting crop
Over the stony face to write
The poetry of pains and loneliness
Days passed season changed
Rain and time chiseled body
With sharp summer line and
Sculpted to earn poison and wine
Heartless pitched and bounced
With their pride and hell
To keep away from the dreams of vine
However times broken and walls down
Muddy feet came with a green gown
To touch and kiss
When its heart touched
It burst in to cracks
Its sorrows started sounding
Its cursed days harped on to the music
Its ridges sprang in to flesh blood and bones
I felt an inward journey within
Tears rolled down to the stony face
Suddenly the dead words of my heart
Bloomed into flower and
I was touched
However the stone
Turned into touchstone
