Analysis of Inflated Dreams

City lights lure souls streaming by,
giving steel and brick a fresh face.
For gathered together they supply
the mortar that holds dreams in place.

Roads twist into a maze of streets,
where beggars claim the parks as theirs.
And in alleys when dark retreats,
drunks sleep ignoring angry stares.

The clamor of life drills the air,
and smog retains an eerie glow.
A few annoyances we share and bear,
as a chemical sun sets low.

Swanky working girls glitz the night,
promising pleasures of all type.
And to entice your appetite,
neon banners accentuate the hype.

With Satan hidden from the eye,
innocence is introduced to sin.
And inflated dreams draw passers-by,
eager to pay for a chance to win.
