Analysis of If It Wasn't For You

If it wasn’t for your eyes
I would have nothing to gaze upon,
If it wasn’t for your lips
I would have nothing to place mine on.
If it wasn’t for your hair
I would have nothing to stroke,
Because of your understandings
I have reasons to cope.
If it wasn’t for your hands
I would have nothing to reach out to,
If it wasn’t for your smile
Each of my days would be blue.
If it wasn’t for your arms
I would know no caress,
Not the heat from another
While touching chest to chest.
If it wasn’t for you
What would I do,
I truly have the slightest clue.
