Analysis of First Rain

Summer rain,
just a warm drizzle,
feeding the plants.

Spring rain,
leaking through the roof,
dripping from the wasps' nest.

Autumn rain,
a delicate pitter-patter,
against the dusty window.

First winter rain--
even the monkey,
seems to want a raincoat.
