Analysis of Faded Dreams
Lost and wandering the wilderness of my mind.
Seeking things that were once important.
All I see is clutter and disarray.
Were they real, the memories I search for?
Some were so pleasant.
A walk along the beach at sunset,
sky ablaze, wind rushing, waves crashing.
Building things, helping others, prayer.
I guess the fire kind of died
or maybe I have lived out all my dreams.
Is that possible, to be out of dreams?
...done, finished, nothing left.
to become just some used up faded dream.
Living a life in the past, struggling
for survival, slowly dying inside.
Are there dreams still worth living for?
Snow capped mountains, hidden valleys,
building new lives, being the difference.
Yes! Dreams worth fighting for!
Faded dreams forgotten, replaced by the new.
