Analysis of Don't Get Your Hand Caught in a Cookie Jar

Ronald Bunch 1982 (Grand Rapids)

Soft, gentle and sweet,
A cookie jar treat.
To meet a girl
In the prime of youth.
To confess my sins
To a confessional booth.
I sing of pleasures
That replace disorders,
Disorders of sin
That shouldn't win.
Don't get your hand caught
In the cookie jar,
For God will meet us
Half way,
He will tell you
What He has to say,
So pull it out
Before God does shout.
