Analysis of Dominus Noctis
Quietly thank the passing Lilitu
with your sleeping expressions
no time for us tonight
to intertwine and take possession
no ages-old lesson
to be imparted through
your spinal column
intense waves of passion.
Was it your great grandmother
who said that she came from the Equator
in that dragon's voice
and did she defile
you on the bedroom floor
at age four
deflowering you
forever
fearing hell and damnation
was right around the corner
around the moving mist
the sightless
right through the door
not slightly reassuring
when the waking paralysis
starts taking its hold
so cold
the cacaphony
oh, won't you just kill me?
but death never nears
the devil fears me
