Analysis of The Sorrowful Dancer
Noelle Bosch 2006 (Buffalo New york)
Rotting away in the wind
Never gone, never leaving
Staying through always grieving
wondering why you continued to change your mind
but how the seasons change
and how the birds cry
still, my heart is hurting inside
The trees lose leaves as I lose faith
The birds fly south as my life gets upended
People shout in the distance
The meaning of life what is it
I want to end the pain, the sorrow
All that's left is the morrow
The time of which I feel peace
The sorrow halts for a beat then it ceases
As the shallow drum dives into a strong steady beat
The pain, the loss, it all flows down
As I dance about this mellow town
I am safe I am sound
