Analysis of Nightly Prayer

Tarrie Simpson 1976 (Indiana)

Here I lay in my bed,
Trying to clear things from my head.
Lord help me to fall asleep,
As  I breathe oh so deep.
At my side, I know you're near.
Now I feel no more fear.
From your light upon me beams
Now I'll have plentiful dreams
