Analysis of City Faded

Once crown jewel of Our States,
This city never lulled.
Empire's star no longer shines,
Its luster has been dulled.

What generations took to build,
Progressively destroyed,
The shops are boarded, looted, robbed,
Yet no force cared, nor helped.

The sentinels in blue, stood by,
Emasculated, restrained.
The wall protecting people pushed,
Betrayed, maligned, detained.

The vitriol and glee of those,
Who sow chaos throughout,
Dividing further, deepening gash,
And striking out from crowd.

The stains that yellow public streets,
Were vomitous when done,
Are contrived symbols of worth of some,
And yet of others none.

That Blazing hate, a trojan horse,
Was shoved down city's throat.
It brought corruption to the midst,
Incompetence and rot.

This was insidious at first,
Its stench excused by most.
As city crumbled, havoc rained,
And harmony is now lost.
