Analysis of No Such Thing
No Such Thing
There’s no such thing as an old soul
Inside a foolish one who claims
No sympathy for lost souls
And says they see the face of God
For if the greatest love
In all the universe exists
How do you ignore someone
With no direction home
And tell them you’re on your own?
The life of one sheep sent astray
From the flock to the shepherd is
Worth being found again
No matter the circumstances
A soul disconnected is
Separated from all that matters
Thankfully there is a way
A remedy to redeem
Reviving beauty in the blemished.
I find salvation from stormy doom
Lies in unconditional surrender
Turning my sorrow and suffering
Shame and severed soul
To my personal savior
In a sea of tears and pain
He rises as the Sun
Sheds shadows from my life
Giving light where once was night.
There’s no such thing as a lost soul
When you choose to open
Yourself completely to The One
Allow yourself to turn towards love
Reconnect with the Universe
And personally accept the invite
The Way, Truth and Life requires
You need only face first
His love and gain everything.
