Analysis of A LIVE WILD NATURE PROGRAMME (Definitive Master Copy)
A man calmly looks through his Livingroom window
Sitting on sofa, legs on table cushion throw.
Curtains wide open, with blinds part open to view
And being night time, he loved these calm times, he knew.
Viewing his vista viewpoint, a violent event
Did transpire and transform his calm idle intent
A live wild nature programme no TV could hush
As a russet figure, rushed through the rustled brush
And he saw a fox kill a large injured seagull
Then the fox cubs joined in as they consumed the gull.
A fine meal, as all that was left were feathers strewn
By unknown predator, only he knew the end
Whilst others inside, TVs and mobiles viewing
With closed curtains and closed minds could not comprehend.

About this poem
Instead of 3 quatrains and a couplet for a sonnet I reversed it and used 5 couplets and a final quatrain. This poem is about the detachment people have whilst using addictive TVs, Games and mobile phone from external reality and nature. I saw three deer in a field whilst looking out of a bus window whilst going to Glasgow and when I looked round saw all people in bus were using their mobile phones, so so sad.
