Analysis of Colonizing Spirit

Sacredly idle in every move that I make
Secretly bubbling with serene anticipation
As I study the Above by looking Below
The center is the circumference of all
I am grounded as I reach for the stars
So completely out of reach, yet they
Have traveled through time to meet me
Intentions are said to matter the most
Black, white, and everything in between
United all through our diversity
Isn’t that how we are supposed to be
Yet
Categorize being our special skill
For we have forgotten how to
Let that which has no name remain
Segregating the metaphysical
Picking and choosing exactly while
Discarding everything that makes us
Feel even just a little bit uncomfortable
Constantly dying and living anew
Thinking we know all, see all, are all
Humility among us has long been dead
Demanding from forces beyond scope
And even as I write this
I know that I am no better
Easily offended by a lack of response
Or an unwanted answer that I know to be true

She whose orgasm brought forth all
Only does but what She wills

Thinking we have power over Spirit will
Lead us down a path leaden with slavery
We say we abhor the concept,
Yet we continue on
Acting as if we now have spiritual maids
Spirit walks with us, not for us
Spirit walks among us, not beneath us
We are all one as we are all many, united
Through this cycle of life, death, and rebirth
Why is it our desire is still to colonize Spirit?

About this poem

This poem is about how we try to think we're in control of the forces we believe are so powerful they can create the universe without even trying.
