Analysis of HEART OF A STRANGER
HEART OF A STRANGER
See in me, the heart of a stranger
I bow before a Child in a Manger
I have eyes of fire for His Son
The Chosen Child, the Holy One
I faced my fears, and I lost
I fought the fight, paid the cost
For only by losing one finally sees
Before the Cross on my knees
My enemies feast all around
Laughing as I'm taken bound
They threw me in a lions den,
By God's Grace I'm back again!
A stranger in this world, don't belong
Guided by a New Light, shining strong
Don't tell me my hope is vain
To live is Christ, die is gain
See in me, the heart of a stranger
I bow before a Child in a Manger
I have eyes of fire for His Son
The Chosen Child, the Holy One
I set my Faith against the world
Though the powers of Hell are hurled
My Savior will see me through
He is Life, He is true
A life of love in a blaze of truth
Fire burning impurities proof
No turning back once on this road
Follow in love, the Stranger's code
Come find a heart made new
To guide you in all you do
Come find a Stranger's heart
In this world, but set apart
See in me, the heart of a stranger
I bow before a Child in a Manger
I have eyes of fire for His Son
The Chosen Child, the Holy One
AMEN

About this poem
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
