Analysis of Withdrawn
She was sitting in the den
writing her heart out loud
on the lid of a garbage can
while her introvert twin
that banned her that day
felt homophobic upstairs
in their shared bedroom
with a dear school friend
because of that one’s
sudden tender advances
She kept writing from then on
expressing familiar un-ease
and forsaken chances
