Analysis of Toxic One

Toxic One
By Robert T. Davenport

What if I'm the toxic one,
A storm of darkness, not the sun?
A whirlwind of pain, causing harm,
Leaving scars, like an open palm.

What if I'm the poison in the air,
Spreading toxicity everywhere?
A venomous tongue, sharp and cruel,
Leaving wounds that never truly heal.

What if I'm the hurricane's rage,
Destroying hearts on every page?
Leaving behind a trail of broken trust,
In my wake, love turns to dust.

What if I'm the fire that burns,
Consuming all, with no concern?
Leaving ashes where love once stood,
A barren wasteland, misunderstood.

What if I'm the darkness in the night,
A shadow that brings fear and fright?
Leaving hearts in a state of despair,
Lost in a world that's no longer fair.

But even if I am the toxic one,
There's still hope for redemption to be won.
I can choose to change, to heal and grow,
To let love and kindness start to flow.

For in self-reflection, I may find,
The strength to leave the toxicity behind.
To mend the wounds, to make amends,
And become a better person in the end.

So let me face the truth within,
Confront the darkness, let the healing begin.
For even if I'm the toxic one,
I can choose to change, and become someone.
