Analysis of I hope I see the moon.

I hope I see the moon.
I hope its light draws me in.
Once more let me see the moon.
I hope its full with misty cloud.
I hope I see the moon.

I hope I see the moon
I hope it sings to starlit skies.
In these fading eyes oh the moon.
I hope it endures the sun as it graces space.
I hope I see the moon.

I hope I see the moon.
I hope it never fades from my heart.
That it remains a part of time going by.
I hope it always seems to fly.
I hope I see the moon.
