Analysis of That I Misplaced Long Ago (Bussokusekika)

Edwin Tanguma 1966 (CA)

That I Misplaced Long Ago   (Bussokusekika)

I don’t need trophies
I find comfort in my skin
Do I feel lonely
What is your personal view
I’ve rediscovered something
That I misplaced long ago

About this poem

For some silly reason this one came to mind after reading Ezekiel 28…I had a pretty long day today…I had a yard sale…I felt it was time to let go of some of my lost hopes and dreams…And I actually made a nice chunk of pocket change through said event…I know what I said about the mark of the beast being any form of currency and credit…But one must continue to utilize what one must as long as one must just to survive…At least until there is a better option implemented in this world in which we live…But I will not hold my breath…I doubt mankind will ever change…Oh well…
