Analysis of The child of the naked moon

Deep in my darkest hour, I asked the naked moon
Why do you shine light, upon my open wound?
And the moon shed a tear, said, ohh you poor boy,
Why do you keep chasing, borrowed moments of joy?
When will you stop searching, for an escape in foreign eyes?
Are you not tired of the weight, of all the voices, all the lies?
You waste all your lifetimes, sewing fragments of lost dreams
And in the truth of my light, you appear broken, by all means
But its through the wound that light enters, light that heals all the fears
Light transmuted to love, love that wipes away tears
I shine light upon you child, exposing the aching of a heart so kind
For all to bear witness of such agony, self inflicted pain of a broken mind
But you’re a child of the naked moon, it’s your fate to be brought to light
Wounded, scarred, you embody beauty, you’re a reflection of truth’s might
Go now child, leave the shadows, and wear a smile that lights the night
In every heart and every soul, command the furnaces to burn bright
And let the tears you’ve shed by pain, ignite the fires of your heart
May my tears wash up the wound, and may my love your worth impart
