Analysis of Do you still love me
Ginette Romero 1996 (Mexico)
Lord,
A thousand times
my soul wants to ask
Do you still love me?
But every time I open my mouth
I sealed my lips
And I swallow my words
Three little words come to mind
''You know better"
O Lord how many times
you have shown me your love
How many times you have
shown me you care
After all I fell in love with you
Because you wooed me
You loved me first
So whom am I to ask
Do you still love me?
If a million times
I felt your love
The memory of your love
keeps my lips sealed
And if the words manage to sneak out
All you do is point to your hands
where I see the holes
that the nails of the cross left in you
So who am I to ask
If you love me more than I love you
For you loved me enough to die for me
And I don't love you enough
that I question your love for me
