Analysis of To a old love
Cynthia novotny 1984 (Wilmington de)
If me and you were to stay together
where do you think we would be?
Would things have changed to save us
Or would you go back to your old ways?
I just don’t know if I could ever trust you
Would things have changed for the better?
Or would they have all just stayed the same?
if things were different, I’d still be there
Sometimes you just can’t go back in time
You just have to learn to let it take its course
I don’t feel going in the past will help
But there is always hope for a better tomorrow
But I really do want you to know that I care
That I will always continue to be there
even it’s just you being my good friend
I’d rather have you in my life then never
