Analysis of Moonlight Won’t Leave Me Alone

Moonlight Won’t Leave Me Alone

I know you’re out there somewhere
Breathing beyond my boundaries
Living your life with no limits
As I discover mine without you.

There is a scent of you everywhere
Because you bathe in my thoughts
Sometimes I think I see you, too
But she walks by without notice.

I dream I see you in silence there
Gazing from a distance wondering
When will I arrive to meet you
And say what you want to hear?

Your name and face are a mystery
A world away watching and waiting
Sadly I’ve stopped looking now
As tears keep getting in the way.

Walking by myself in the world here
Life leaves a faint whisper of you
I sigh as a glimmer of light shines
Moonlight won’t leave me alone.
