Analysis of Ruins Us

You watch me and let me be
Thinking I like him
And want him for me
But it's you that I'm dying for darling
For you that I'm dying, not he

He's charismatic, makes my words flow
So you stay back
Don't follow our convo
But it's you that I'm dying to talk to
It's you I've been dying to know

He ruins us every time
Ruins my rep whenever we collide
Hope he don't think I'm tryna make him mine
Hope he don't hate me for wasting his time
Cause he sure ruins us every time
Keeping me from you
Making our time go
Pushing you further
Making me lose hope
