Analysis of I Am a Poet
Some metaphors and similes
Are added now and then,
Creating image that please
The ink within my pen.
I count the syllables each line
And choose what will be stressed
To help words flow when thoughts align
As well as when compressed.
Sometimes the line breaks challenge me
To leave my comfort zone
And try new things to help me see
How far this poet's grown.
