Analysis of Journey of the Unrepentant
Journey of the unrepentant
struggle of the lost
discovering
it wasn't them
it was their robot parts.
Here's a unit little one
made with shiny steel
Ah she says I see my hands
flecked with silly art
and my legs are sliding shells
sand flowing through my heart.
The old man sees his arms today
rusty need returning
tired of his uniform
and ready for the burning.
The world clearly a hierarchy
orders from the top
lighting up
the bright red tree
but someone pulled the plug.
We rise now children come with us
leave your presents here
come out now into the snow
without your silver veins
shivering no longer
those parts have gone away.
