Analysis of I Do What I can

Please don't tell me to smile because
It's not the way I feel;
And please do not tell me to pause
As though my tears aren't real.

To tell someone, "It's not that bad."
Are words you speak in vain.
Because it's like a man who's mad
And yells at his clogged drain.

You clearly do not understand
What I am going through.
Anxiety is never planned.
I do what I can do!
