Analysis of Pain and Pleasure

ida ayu tania 2002 (mataram)

all the pretty stars shine for you, darling.
all those times you say that I’m like the fire, I burn
I keep you warm and inspired.
you make me feel like your whole world
but I’m just blessed with rage
'cause I got a huge hole in my soul at this young age.

you are the brightest shade of sun I have ever seen.
like the dawn, you woke the world inside of me
and I am just a bouquet of roses in the trash.

darling,
doesn’t have a problem
just like an absolute angel.
we are like water and fire,
you’re cooling down,
I’m burning up.

when I fell in love, the kingdom of Hades changed,
the sun rose from the west,
and sorry for being obsessed with love,
as if it’s my fault.

your Bonnie on your side
you’re happy, I am sad
and you know that I am bad, bad.
your voice,
your laughs,
darling, you’re just a stroke of luck.

these feelings and thoughts in my mind,
got me feeling like being strangled,
blinded,
hard to breathe,
with those ropes in your bedding sheets at night.

I’m restless, harsh, despairing
although I do have love inside me, I just don’t know how to use it
and there is so much pain, I don’t know how not to notice it.
I suffer in my loving
does it turn you on, darling?

I was the craziest when my heart touched.
I want you to see a mess
and still find me worthy of love.

kiss me where you bruise me
touch me gently where you scar me
make my legs shake, not my heart ache

darling,
before I let you go, just one more time
take off your clothes, and pretend that everything's fine

in case I come back to you, could you keep just one blank page
…and a bottle of red wine?
