Analysis of Going My Way?

Going My Way
10 May 2023

The beginning of every great relationship begins with a phrase
“Can I throw this in your locker?” was ours - babe
The start of a beautiful friendship and walks to your house
Memories created and vibes established on such a statement
The world was better for me because of you in it and the bond we shared
Lately the phrase has changed to that of “Going My Way?”
Sometimes you joke and say no-other times you say no and with reason
Busy with crafts-dinner- and other things around our house
The phrase comes as we are moving throughout life and with eachother
Me in hopes that you are truly going my way

Visions I have had of us later in life - some visions it’s you
Some visions it’s me
Either way I ask “Going My Way?”
One scenario paints the picture of you shaking your head no
Me stating of course not, not right now-but I will save you seat my queen
The other paints the picture of me shaking my head no
Stating, of course you are not going my way-but please my love
Save me a seat in the garden of humming birds and morning glories

Our Military Lifestyle had me coming and going constantly and never once did I ask
“Going My Way?”
I knew you wouldn’t be not to where I was going
I am forever glad you were there when I came back
An angelic queen-a beautiful love-that I cherish constantly

Now however life is currently a different scenario and my road in military
Is coming to an end-still life can throw curves from every direction
A constant day to day and busy by the minute from all the things
The kids-the dogs-the bills-the jobs-the day to day excitment
The life that is filled with the ups and downs-a rollar coaster of events
However as we take a pause and share a kiss-a smile-a hug
As chaos erupts around us because of dogs- and kids

I just need to know one thing…

“Going my Way?”
