Analysis of Awake My Love
I speak to you but know not if you hear
My hushed voice trying to be heard
And you, so silent and so still -
Whilst I, wait, like a drying well
Not knowing if the end is near
Or soon a new beginning share.
So let us pray that rain will fall
And love endures above it all
So that your eyes again do wake
As if at dawn the sun does break
And lets light light live and darkness dies
I'the new born day, a new babe cries !

About this poem
