Analysis of Should we stereotype?

you say it’s not all men
but every girl i know has a story
though each vary
between meaning and depth
each girl has had someone over step
boundaries are set to keep us straight
though every time i look at your face
i see once again someone has gone too far
just one look at a bar
has caused so much
pain
so many
flashbacks
making us question if this is okay?
it’s basically become normalised
as more become traumatised
we get sexualised and objectified
but yes you see
it’s not all men
but those reading this now
becoming defensive as you try to justify
really show us why.
the reason why we stay hiding
why we put on a mask to look like we’re smiling
putting us on a pedestal competing
competing to get left in a messed up bed
with late night thoughts
as we scroll
wishing that they would get caught
