Analysis of Dark Rain
the rain coats her fingertips
tender
he caresses every bend
slowly they dance down her thighs
thoughts grow quieter
she purses her lips with restrain
connecting in one embrace
he craved her
her smile brought danger
he promised to come un armed
but he destroyed her
she straddled his mind
dark rain couldn’t put out the flame
she wanted to be burned
her hands moved recklessly
like matches
they slowly drowned in intimacy
one they could not be saved from

About this poem
As a society we fail to form meaningful connections and as the hookup culture increases so does meaningless sex. This poem describes a just as passionate intimacy but one wrought with connection and love.
