Analysis of Together

As time wines down and we're on the phone,
talking about the times we hope to be all alone.
Kissing, hugging, and all that other stuff.
Staying together even when the times get rough.
Now leaving all that in the past,
I hope our love would forever last.
Although sometimes I act like a jerk,
I know there were times when it seemed like,
it just wouldn't work.
Acting like I really didn't care,
when all I was just doing was being unfair.
Being unfair to you yes, I truly was,
not expressing my feelings just because.
Just because I never had a real true friend around,
that's in the past, I'm not all that shy now.
As you can see, you're a very special person to me,
staying by my side I hope that's where you will always be.
