Analysis of One's Own Company
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Isn't it easy to disbelieve,
That someone who has aged to say...
They have peace of mind.
And enjoy their own company.
Done to say repeatedly.
Yet assume to be seeking attention to get.
From those who have not experienced,
A life to live thinking of others.
Receiving nothing but expected disrespect.
To believe this is missed.
With wishes for more of this nonsense to get.
But...
Actually enjoys a life being ignored.
Especially at an age,
When one has adventured to explore...
The disappointments.
Aches and pains of mental and physical,
Heartaches.
And what it takes to mend and heal,
Through relationships proven...
Neither faithfully committed, loyal or real!
To feel blessed and deserving,
Of what God has done to one...
Who has come to love every moment of it!
