सकाळी उठायला हाक मारणारी ती आई,
दुर जाण्यासाठी का गं केली तु घाई,
या चिमुकल्या पाखरांची होती तु चिऊताई,
का सोडून गेलीस माझी आई.
जेवण भरवणारा तुझा तो अमृत हात,
पंढरपूर जिथे दिसे ते तुझे पाय,
अशी अमुल्य होती, ती माझी माई,
का सोडून गेलीस माझी आई.
मला लागल्यास वेदना तुला होई,
अजुनही आठवते आई तुझ्या त्या अंगाई,
तुझ्या साडीला पाहून पुन्हा तुझी आठवण येई,
का सोडून गेलीस माझी आई.
तु होतीस तर सर्व नाते माझे होते,
तु गेलीस तर सर्व नाते परके होते,
पुन्हा वापस ये अशी हाक माझी येई,
का सोडून गेलीस माझी आई.
