About this poem
I wrote this poem because I am appalled at the cultural deviation expressed in dressing code of my people here in Nigeria. Young girls go nude or in scanty dresses and their mothers compliment them with similar outfits. These same young girls keep late nights and return home with unexplained gifts from unknown patrons. I likened this parental failures to clergy men in the same country who accept tithes from known criminals and dubious politicians. It is a cultural shock to me. more »
