Analysis of Rain

monica vollkommer 1976 (Hollis, n.y)

I watched the tears fall down from the skies
I didn't really mind the rain
Every day seems the same
Better to watch the drops fall from the skies than to feel the pain when they fall from my eyes.
So i sit and stare into time and space
I'm dreaming again of another place.
Well I'm feeling laughter now and a smile travels halfway across my face.
Well I'm halfway there and a car unlocks my gaze
So i sit and watch the rain in a haze
I didn't really mind the rain
Every day seems the same.
