Analysis of Never to be Free

Michelle Renee Dunson 1976 (Ada,Okla)

Never to Be Free

Love to me is just a curse
A trap I won't fall into
A play in which the world must rehearse
Only true for a few.
Sadness remains constant
To remind me of all that's lost
I only get more distant
To remain alone at all costs
Rage burns inside of me
I am never 'alone'
Anger is now my only family
Something that I will never outgrow
Inside myself, I am a soldier
Never to be free...
Can somebody please tell me-
Just who the hell is me?
