Analysis of There would have been an us

You know we would have gotten to the mountain top.
Together we would have touched the stars.
Our happiness all the way up .
Forgetting the pains caused by our scars .
Our love story, a fable that makes everyone wonder.
It would have been a guide to those who sought love.
How we stayed without worry or fear they'll ponder .
And even how the flames of our love was impossible to turn off.
You would have been mine,
I would have been yours.
Everything would have fallen in line.
And there would have been an Us.
