Analysis of To My Mommy And Daddy

To My Mommy And Daddy

I was sick when you brought me home,
And not once did I feel alone.
I did not want to eat or play.
I would lie around every day.

You tried to take good care of me
And wished I could run and be free
You spent lots of money on me
To find out what was wrong, you see.

There was nothing that you could do.
My time on earth was almost through.
A little milk/food I was fed.
And I had to pee on the bed.

I had crystals; felt so much pain.
I could never be well again.
When it was time to say good-bye,
I purred loud and heard Mommy cry.

Thanks for taking care of me there.
Up here I run everywhere.
You loved me, and you were my friend.
One day I will see you again.
