Analysis of Our Own Worse Enemies
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Not to listen to pay attention.
To hear from others,
What is heard but intentionally ignored.
May be of benefit to avoid,
A repeating the same heads to beat...
Against cemented fenced walls.
Installed to think prevents,
The aggravating of continuous nonsense.
Over and over again,
That diminishes the using of common sense.
Accompanied by mindless pettiness.
Done to believe,
Only those in positions of authority...
Have hidden somewhere in abundance,
Common sense at their fingertips.
Yet...
Reluctant to prove it shown done.
In the fear it to be taken away,
By others awaiting.
And known to be intelligent thinkers.
Although this to expose,
Will ruin an image...
Of greatness fictioned to delude it kept.
Leaving nothing left,
But actions of stupidity to perform.
With this to take the credit.
And all the attention for it!
'This is absolutely insane!'
'Hold on.
Don't be so quick to pass judgement.
I am sure,
They will soon reveal...
A reasonable explanation for their ignorance!
Since what they are doing to themselves,
Can not be all about...
The color of skin, ethnic diversity and racism.'
