At first sight, something I knew
Never guessed when the time would come
So many nights had passed
Out of the blue we crossed paths
Your past made you resist
My heart had me persist
Finally, you realized I wasn’t dumb
13 years ago, we sure have grew.

About this poem
This is the first poem I have ever wrote for my wife, after being married for 12 years. It is also the first poem I have wrote in over 15 years.
