Analysis of Urban Parasite

I walk out of the kitchen
I refuse to let the shiny grotesque bodies attack my sober judgment.

I am motionless while planning my escape
Scratch scratch scurry scurry
I have been invaded
I am not alone.

No one must know my nightmare
Their collective minds assault my insecurities.
As I squash one I am reminded of my power
I see ten more
They besiege my space and mocked my tranquility.
No one can know
I must fight this war
Alone.

I run into the bathroom
I feel 1 million eyes watching me
I must escape.
I see them laugh and taunt my slow descent into madness.
Who will save me from these urban parasites?

I spray and spray
Scrub and clean
Emits deadly toxins into the air
To lose a war I cannot win
To my industrialized acclimated for
The Cockroach.
