Analysis of Back Then

Back then, no one said I love you, before we saw the light
no one should go back in time, when we owned each other, but never held each other tight

Back then, no one said I love you, and everyone was lost
we've come so far in every way, loving one another, after we paid the cost

We've come so far, but now we pray, the past does not repeat, through every page in history, we felt under attack

Back then, no one said I love you, but now, nothing holds us back
