Analysis of New Year's
The year was long,
yet the year was a blur.
What to make of it,
well who can be sure?
People will reflect
and pontificate at length,
talk about their fortunes gained;
complain about fortunes spent.
They'll think about their loves
and if they're lucky; no heartbreaks
Remembering to count their blessings,
because that isn't always the case.
They forge forward to the new year
enamored with their new resolutions,
driven and newly inspired
by an invigorated constitution.
Oh this is the year!
They'll conquer their hopes and dreams!
People are a funny sort,
always believing it's as easy as it seems!
