Analysis of Ghosted

I’m not saying I need closure
Or that you had to say why
I would have kept my composure
While you said a simple goodbye

It’s hard to see messages undelivered
Or that you’re never online
I wonder if your connection is severed
And I wonder if you’re fine

Even though we never met in person
You were a friend of mine
I didn’t notice our relationship worsen
When we chatted on-line

It took a while before I realized
That you weren’t just AFK
But your friends list downsized
And we’ll no longer play.

You encouraged me to post my first poem
You convinced me I had some talent
In writing words and feelings unspoken
Asking your critique became a habit

I guess I was wrong
I’d like some closure
But now you’re gone
Goodbye “Ambrosia”
